40:2 Բայց Երուանդայ շինեալ զքաղաքն իւր եւ փոխեալ անդր զամենայն ինչ յԱրմաւրայ, ուրոյն ի կռոցն, զոր ոչ աւգուտ իւր համարեալ յիւրն փոխել ի քաղաքն, զի մի՛ ի գալ եւ ի զոհել անդ աշխարհի` ոչ զգուշութեամբ պահեսցի քաղաքն. այլ հեռագոյն ի նմանէ իբր քառասուն ասպարիսաւ զհիւսիսով` նման իւրոյ քաղաքին շինեաց քաղաք փոքր ի վերայ գետոյն Ախուրենայ, եւ անուանեաց Բագարան, այս ինքն թէ ի նմա զբագնաց յաւրինեալ է զկազմութիւն. եւ փոխեաց անդր զամենայն զկուռսն որ յԱրմաւիր:
| 40:2 When Eruand had built his own city he transferred there everything from Armavir except the idols, which he did not think profitable to bring to his capital, lest when people came to sacrifice there the city could not be securely guarded. But about forty stadia distant to the north, above the River Akhurean, he built a smaller city similar to his own and called it Bagaran, that is, in it he had set up the complex of the altars, and he transferred there all the idols that were in Armavir:
