21:2 Այլ անդէն իսկ ի կենդանութեան իւրում Շամիրամ զծնեալն ի Նուարդայ ի սիրելի կնոջէն Արայի, որ էր երկոտասան ամաց մնացեալ ի մահուանն Արայի, վասն առաջին իւրոց խանդաղատանացն որ առ Արայն գեղեցիկ` կոչէ զանուն նորա Արայ, եւ կարգէ զնա ի վերակացութիւն աշխարհիս, մտերմութեամբ հաւատացեալ ի նա. զորմէ եւ մեռանել ասեն ընդ Շամիրամայ ի պատերազմին:
| 21:2 Semiramis called the son born during her lifetime to Nuard, Ara’s beloved wife, Ara on account of her former passion for the handsome Ara; he was twelve years old at the time of Ara’s death. And having sincere confidence in him, she entrusted the government of the country to him. They say of him that he died in the war against Semiramis:

21:5 Քանզի ձաւնեալ էր ըստ պաշտամանց ի սաւսիսն Արամանեկայ որ յԱրմաւիր. զորոց զսաղարթուցն սաւսաւիւն, ըստ հանդարտ եւ կամ սաստիկ շնչելոյ աւդոյն, եւ թէ ուստի շարժումն` սովորեցան ի հմայս յաշխարհիս Հայկազնաց, եւ այս ցբազում ժամանակս:
| 21:5 For he had been dedicated to the cult at the plane trees of Aramaneak in Armavir. The murmuring of their foliage and the direction of their movement at the gentler or stronger blowing of the wind was used for divination in the land of the Armenians, and that for a long time:

21:6 Այս Անուշաւան բաւական ժամանակս արհամարհութիւն կրեալ ի Զամեսեայ` տուայտի ի դրանն արքունի. իսկ աւգնեալ ի բարեկամաց` շահի զմասն ինչ աշխարհիս, հարկահանութեամբ խնամել, զկնի ապա եւ զբոլորս:
| 21:6 This Anushavan, having endured Zamesia’s scorn for a long time, was embittered at the royal court. But helped by friends, he gained control over part of the country and imposed tribute, and later over the whole:

21:7 Այլ կարի շատ լինի, եթէ զամենայն որ ինչ արժանն իցէ` ասիցեմք ի ճառիս զնախակարգելոց արանց զբանս եւ զգործս:
