22:3 Սա ժառանգեցուցանէ զեղբարս իւր եւ զքորս ի գաւառս Աղւոյովտի եւ Առբերանոյ, թողլով ի նոսա զմասն արքունի որ ի շէնսն այնց գաւառաց, հանդերձ առանձինն մտից եւ ռոճկաց, ըստ աւրինակի ազգականացն որ ի կողմանս Հաշտենից. որպէս զի լինել նոցա պատուականագոյն եւ առաւել թագաւորազն քան զայնս Արշակունիս. միայն աւրինադրէ ոչ կեալ յԱյրարատ ի բնակութիւնս արքայի:
| 22:3 He established his brothers and sisters as heirs in the provinces of Aḷiovit and Aṙberan, leaving for them the royal portion in the villages of those provinces with their special incomes and rents, according to the example of his kinsmen in the regions of Hashteank’, so that they would have a more honorable and royal position than these latter Arsacids. 22:4 Բայց այլ ոչ ինչ գործ արութեան եւ քաջութեան եցոյց. այլ ուտելեաց եւ ըմպելեաց պարապեալ, մաւրից եւ եղեգնապուրակաց թափառեալ շրջէր եւ առապարաց, զիշավայրիս եւ զխոզս արածելով. զիմաստութենէ եւ զքաջութենէ եւ զբարի յիշատակաց անփոյթ արարեալ, ծառայ եւ ստրուկ որովայնի արդարեւ լինելով` զաղբիւս մեծացուցանէր:
| 22:4 But he gave no indication of any other act of nobility or valor and occupied his time with eating and drinking. He wandered about in the marshes, fens, and rocky places, tending wild asses and swine. Unconcerned with wisdom, valor, or good repute, truly a servant and slave to his stomach, he fattened his guts:

22:5 Սա բասրելով յիւրոց զաւրացն վասն առաւել պղերգութեանն եւ սաստիկ որկրամոլութեանն, մանաւանդ զի եւ զՄիջագետս Անտոնիոսի հանեալ էր ի նմանէ, զայրացեալ` հրաման տայր զաւր յարուցանել զբիւրաւորս Ատրպատական նահանգին եւ զբնակիչս լերինն Կաւկասու հանդերձ Աղուանիւք եւ Վրաւք. խաղայ իջանէ ի Միջագետս, եւ հալածականս առնէ զզաւրս Հռոմայեցւոց:
