57:1 Յաղագս նախարարութեանն Ամատունեաց:
| 57:1 Concerning the principality of the Amatunik’:

57:2 Յաւուրս սորա ասեն եկեալ զազգն Ամատունեաց ի կողմանցն արեւելից Արեաց աշխարհին:
| 57:2 In his days they say the family of the Amatunik’ came from the eastern regions of the land of the Aryans:

57:3 Բայց են սոքա բնութեամբ հրեայ, ի Մանուեայ ումեմնէ. որոյ որդի էր մեծահասակ եւ ուժեղ, Սամսոն անուն կոչեցեալ, որպէս սովորութիւն է Հրէից` ըստ յուսոյ զնախնեացն կոչել զանուանս:
| 57:3 But they are by origin Jewish, descended from a certain Manue, whose son was of great stature and strength called Samson, as is the Jewish custom to call children after the names of their ancestors in expectation:

57:4 Բայց է ճշմարիտ, որպէս եւ այժմ իսկ է տեսանել ի զարմս Ամատունեաց, քանզի անձնեայք եւ բարեձեւք ըստ պատշաճի վայել են ամենայն իրաւք եւ ուժեղք:
| 57:4 But it is true, as one can indeed now see among the family of the Amatunik’, for they are personable and well formed and worthily resplendent in all things and strong:

57:5 Տարեալք են նոքա ի յԱրշակայ առաջին ի Պարթեւաց թագաւորեցելոյն. եւ յառաջադիմութեամբ անդէն յԱրեաց աշխարհին ի պատիւ հասեալք ի կողմանս Ահմատանի:
| 57:5 They were taken there by Arshak, the first king of the Parthians, and in the land of the Aryans, in the regions of Hamadan, they were promoted to a position of honor:

57:6 Բայց թէ յի՛նչ պատճառաց գալուստ նոցա այսր` ոչ գիտեմ. այլ պատուին յԱրտաշիսէ գեղիւք եւ դաստակերտաւք, եւ անուանին Ամատունիք, որպէս թէ Եկք:
| 57:6 What the reasons for their coming here might be, I do not know. However, they were honored by Artashēs with villages and estates and were called Amatuni, as being foreigners:

57:7 Եւ կէսք ի Պարսից` Մանուեանս զնոսա կոչեն յանուն նախնւոյն:
| 57:7 And some Persians call them Manuean after the name of their ancestor:
