12:2 Բայց Շապուհ Որմզդեան առ Տիրան մեր արքայ առաւել սէր հաստատեաց, մինչեւ զաւրավիգն աւգնականութեան եղեալ` թափէ զնա յարձակմանէ հիւսիսականացն ազգաց, որք միաբանեալ ելին արտաքս քան զկապանն Ճորայ եւ բանակեցան ի սահմանս Աղուանից ամս չորս:
| 12:2 But Shapuh, son of Ormizd, established greater friendship toward our King Tiran, even supporting and assisting him: he saved him from an attack of the northern nations who, having united, penetrated the pass of Chor and encamped on the borders of Albania for four years:

12:3 Եւ զայլ յոլով թագաւորս նուաճեալ Շապհոյ, եւ զազգս բարբարոսաց բազումս ի սատարութիւն կալեալ` յարձակեցաւ ի Միջերկրեայս եւ ի Պաղեստինէ:
| 12:3 Shapuh also subdued many barbarian nations into alliance, and then he attacked the Mediterranean lands and Palestine:

12:4 Իսկ Կոստանդեայ արարեալ կեսար զՅուլիանոս` սպառազինեցաւ ընդդէմ Պարսից. եւ տուեալ ճակատ, երկոքին կողմանքն պարտեցան. քանզի բազումք անկան յերկաքանչիւրոցն. եւ ոչ մի ի միւսոյ թիկունս դարձոյց. մինչեւ ի հաւանութիւն եկեալ` արարին խաղաղութիւն ամս սակաւս:
| 12:4 But Constantius, after making Julian Caesar, took up arms against the Persians. And when they gave battle, both sides were defeated, for many fell from both sides. But neither turned their back to the other, so they came to terms and made peace for a few years:

12:5 Եւ ի Պարսից դարձեալ Կոստանդեայ` յերկար հիւանդացեալ վախճանեցաւ ի Մոմփսիւեստի քաղաքին Կիւլիկեցւոց, թագաւորեալ ամս քսան եւ երիս:
| 12:5 When Constantius returned from Persia, after a long illness he died in the city of Mospuestia in Cilicia, having reigned for twenty- three years:

12:6 Ի սորա աւուրս երեւեցաւ խաչն լուսեղէն առ երանելեաւն Կիւրղիւ:
| 12:6 In his days appeared the luminous cross in the time of the blessed Cyril:
