32:1 Եթէ ո՛րպէս Արշակ քարշել զերանելին Խադ եւ քարկոծել զնա կամէր սակս յանդիմանութեան իւրոց յանցանաց:
| 32:1 How Arshak abused the blessed Khad and wished to stone him because of his reproaches for his transgressions:

32:2 Եւ եղեւ ի սատակել Արշակայ զազգն Կամսարականաց` հրամայեաց զդիակունս նոցա քարշել եւ ընկենուլ անթաղ, կերակուր լինել շանց. եւ ինքն որպէս մեծաւ յաղթութեամբ պսակեալ, ի բարեկենդանութեան կատարէր աւուրս, կուտել մթերել յԱրմաւիր զնոցայն հրամայելով զհամբարսն:
| 32:2 When Arshak’s massacre of the Kamsarakan family took place, he ordered their corpses to be thrown and scattered on the ground without burial to become food for dogs. And he himself, as if crowned by a great victory, spent his days in joyous living, ordering their provisions to be amassed and stored at Armavir:

32:3 Զորոց պեղեալ երկուս հորս յոյժ քաջախորս եւ սաստկապէս լայնս, որ ի շինին Նախճաւանի, բերին սայլովք նոցին աւանի:
| 32:3 To hold them two very deep and extremely wide pits had been dug in the village of Nakhchavan, and they transported them in the wagons of their own town:

32:4 Իսկ սայլորդացն տեսեալ ոսկերս մարդկան գազանակուր եղելոց, ցրուեալս առ եզերբ փոսոյն, հարցեալ ուսան` իւրեանց լինել տերանց. հաւաքեալ ի սայլսն ներքոյ եղեգանն` բերեալ թաղեցին ի նոյն հորս:
| 32:4 But when the wagon drivers saw the human bones, eaten by wild beasts and scattered by the edge of the ditch, they asked and discovered that they were those of their own lords. Gathering them into the wagons under reeds, they brought them and buried them in the same pits:

32:5 Զոր զգացեալ Արշակայ` հրամայէ զսայլորդսն ի վերայ հորոցն կախել զփայտէ:
| 32:5 When Arshak became aware of this he ordered the wagon drivers to be hung on gallows over the pits:

32:6 Բայց Խադայ ոչ պատահեալ յառաջնում նուագին, այսմ ժամանեալ հասանէ. եւ սկսաւ կշտամբել զարքայ բանիւք յանդիմանութեան:
| 32:6 But Khad, who had not been present on the first occasion, arrived at that moment and began to reprimand the king with reproachful words:

32:7 Հրամայեաց Արշակ քարշել զնա եւ քարկոծել:
| 32:7 Arshak ordered him to be dragged on the ground and stoned:

32:8 Եւ քանզի էին դստերաց նորա տայգերք ի մեծ նախարարութեանցն, ի կորովի եւ ի քաջ ազգէն Ապահունեաց` սուսերս հանեալ կիսախողխող զքարշողսն առնէին, եւ յափշտակեալ զԽադ ի ձեռաց նոցա, եւ յիւրեանցն գնացին գաւառ:
| 32:8 And because the brothers- in- law of his daughters were there, great princes of powerful and valiant Apahuni family, drawing their swords they half- murdered those abusing Khad, snatched him from their hands, and went off to their own province:

32:9 Եւ Արշակայ ոչ ի հակառակս մտեալ` ղաւղէր, զի մի՛ խռովութիւն ամենայն նախարարացն յուզիցի:
| 32:9 Arshak did not oppose them but hid, lest a rebellion of all the nobles be provoked:
