5:1 Պատճէն թղթոյն Հայոց: «Եպիսկոպոսապետ Վրթանէս եւ որք ընդ նովաւ եպիսկոպոսունք եւ ամենայն նախարարք Հայոց մեծաց. տեառն մերոյ Կոստանդեայ կայսեր ինքնակալի խնդալ:
| 5:1 A copy of the Armenians’ letter: “ Archbishop Vrt’anēs and the bishops under him and all the princes of Greater Armenia, to our lord the emperor Caesar Constantius, greetings:

5:2 Յուշ լիցի քեզ պայման ուխտի հաւրն քո Կոստանդիանոսի, որ առ մերում թագաւորին Տրդատայ. եւ մի՛ տացես զաշխարհս քո Պարսից անաստուածից, այլ աւգնեսցես մեզ զաւրաւք` թագաւորեցուցանել զորդի Տրդատայ զԽոսրով:
| 5:2 Remember the sworn covenant of your father Constantine with our King Trdat and do not give this country over to the godless Persians, but help us with an army to make Khosrov, Trdat’s son, king:

5:3 Քանզի Աստուած զձեզ ոչ միայն Եւրոպայ, այլ եւ ամենայն Միջերկրեայցս տիրեցոյց. եւ ահ զաւրութեան ձերոյ եհաս մինչեւ ի ծագս երկրի:
| 5:3 For God has made you lord not only of Europe but also of all the Mediterranean, and the awe of your power has reached the ends of the earth:

5:4 Եւ մեք խնդրեմք առաւել քան զառաւել տիրել ձեզ:
| 5:4 And we desire that you rule over an ever- greater empire:

5:6 Այսմ լսող եղեալ Կոստանդեայ` առաքեաց զԱնտիոքոս յարդարիչ իւրոյ պալատանն զաւրու ծանու, եւ ծիրանիս հանդերձ պսակաւ, եւ թուղթ` որ ունէր աւրինակ զայս:
| 5:6 Agreeing to this, Constantius sent Antiochus, his palace prefect, with a strong army, and purple robes, and a crown, and a letter, which ran as follows:

5:9 Առաքեցի ձեզ զաւր յաւգնականութիւն, եւ հրաման թագաւորեցուցանել ձեզ զԽոսրով որդի արքայի ձերոյ Տրդատայ. որպէս զի ի բարեկարգութիւն հաստատեալ, մեզ ծառայեսջիք միամտութեամբ:
| 5:9 I have sent an army to your support with the command to make Khosrov, son of your King Trdat, king over you, in order that having established good order you may serve us loyally:
