10:0 On the war of the Greeks in Amida: the appearance of a star; - death of king Kiwr-Zan:

| 10:1 The Greek king Kiwr-Zan sent to Amida, at the head of several tens of thousands of troops, the demeslikos Mleh, who, upon his arrival, laid siege to the city and began a battle with the garrison, where Abutalhab (Abu-Taleb), the grandson of Hamtun, was located. [400] horsemen with drawn swords came out through the city gates and, suddenly and unexpectedly attacking a detachment standing at the city gates, put it to the sword and, scattering the entire enemy army, captured the demeslikos Mleh, who died at the Arabs:

She continued to be visible until the onset of autumn. At the end of the same year, King Kiwr-Zan died in his palace. - After him, in [425=976], Basil reigned:
| 10:2 Եւ ապա ի միւս ամին՝ ի [ՆԻԳ] թուականին նիզակաւոր աստղն երեւեցաւ յաւուրս հնձոցն, ի մուտս ամառնային եղանակին, ինքն յարեւելս կալով եւ զնշոյլս լուսոյն նիզակաձեւ յարեւմուտս ձգեալ ի վերայ աշխարհին Յունաց. եւ տեւեաց մինչեւ յաշնանային եղանակն: Եւ ի նոյն ամի յելս մեռաւ ԿիւռԺան թագաւորն ի պաղատանն: Եւ զկնի նորա, ի [ՆԻԵ] թուականին թագաւորեաց Վասիլ:
