5:101 The ice of many winters melted; spring arrived and the returning swallows came again. Life-loving mortals saw this and rejoiced, but they were never able to see their desired ones:
| 5:101 Բազում ձմերաց հալեցան սառնամանիք. եհաս գարուն եւ եկին նորեկ ծիծռունք. տեսին եւ խնդացին կենցաղասէր մարդիկ, եւ նոքա ոչ երբէք կարացին տեսանել զանձկալիսն իւրեանց:

5:102 Spring flowers recalled their faithful husbands; their eyes longed to behold the dear beauty of their faces:
| 5:102 Ծաղիկք գարնանայինք յիշատակեցին զպսակասէր ամուսինս նոցա, եւ աչք իւրեանց կարաւտացան տեսանել զցանկալի գեղ երեսաց նոցա:

5:103 Hunting dogs were no more, and the chase of the hunters was silenced:
| 5:103 Սպառեցան բարակք որսականք, եւ խցեալ կուրացան արշաւանք որսորդաց:
|
5:104 They were recalled only by commemoration, and no yearly festival brought them back from afar. They looked at their places at the table and wept; in every hall they remembered their names:
| 5:104 Բնագրաւք յիշատակեցան նոքա, եւ ոչ մի տաւնք տարեկանաց ոչ ածին զնոսա ի հեռաստանէ. ի ճաշատեղս նոցա հայեցան եւ արտասուեցին, եւ յամենայն յատեանս յիշեցին զանուանս նոցա:

5:105 Many columns were set up in their memory, and the names of each one were inscribed thereon:
| 5:105 Բազում արձանք կանգնեալ էին յանուն նոցա, եւ անուանք իւրաքանչիւր նշանակեալ ի նոսա:
|
5:106 Although their minds were thus agitated from every side, they did not lose heart or slacken in heavenly virtue:
| 5:106 Եւ իբրեւ այնպէս յամենայն կողմանց ալէկոծ լինէին միտք նոցա, ոչ ինչ կասեալ թուլացան յերկնաւոր առաքինութենէն:

5:107 To strangers they appeared as mourning and suffering widows, but in their souls, they were adorned and consoled with heavenly love:
| 5:107 Արտաքնոցն երեւէին իբրեւ այրիք սգաւորք եւ չարչարեալք, եւ յոգիս իւրեանց զարդարեալք եւ մխիթարեալք երկնաւոր սիրով:

5:108 No more were they accustomed to ask a visitor from afar: “When shall we be able to see our dear ones?” But the desire of their prayers to God was that, as they had begun, so they might be able valiantly to complete their course full of heavenly love:
| 5:108 Ոչ եւս սովորեցին հարցանել զեկեալ ոք ի հեռաստանէ, եթէ ե՛րբ լինիցի մեզ տեսանել զսիրելիսն մեր. այլ այն էին իղձք աղաւթից նոցա առ Աստուած, եթէ որպէս սկսանն՝ քաջութեամբ ի նմին կատարեսցին լի երկնաւոր սիրովն:

5:109 And may we and they together inherit the city of blessings and attain the promises made to those who love God in Christ Jesus our Lord:
| 5:109 Եւ մեք եւ նոքա հասարակ ժառանգեսցուք զքաղաքամայրն բարեաց, եւ հասցուք խոստացելոց սիրելեացն Աստուծոյ ի Քրիստոս Յիսուս ի Տէր մեր:
