7:151 Since it was springtime the flowering meadows became torrents of many men’s blood:

7:152 Especially when one saw the vast mass of fallen corpses, one’s heart would break and one’s bowels shrivel up on hearing the groaning of the injured, the crying of the hurt, the rolling and crawling of the wounded, the fleeing of the cowards, the hiding of the deserters, the dismay of the fainthearted, the wailing of the effeminate, the lamentations of dear ones, the bewailing of relatives, the woe and grief of friends:
| 7:152 Մանաւանդ յորժամ տեսանէր ոք զբազմակոյտ դիականցն անկելոց, սիրտն բեկանէր եւ աղիքն գալարէին՝ լսել զմնչիւն խոցելոցն եւ զմռնչիւնս բեկելոցն, զթաւալգլոր խաղալ սողալ վիրաւորացն, զփախուստ վատացն, զթաքուստ լքելոցն, զսրտաթափումն զանարի արանցն, զճչիւն կանացեացն, զողբս սիրելեացն, զաշխարումն մերձաւորացն, զվայ եւ զաւաղ բարեկամացն:

7:153 For neither side was victorious and neither side was defeated; but heroes attacked heroes and both sides went down to defeat:
| 7:153 Քանզի ոչ եթէ կողմ էր՝ որ յաղթեաց, եւ կողմ էր՝ որ պարտեցաւ, այլ քաջք ընդ քաջս ելեալ՝ երկոքին կողմանքն ի պարտութիւն մատնեցան:

7:154 But because the Armenian general had fallen in the great battle, there was no longer any leader among them around whom the remaining troops could rally:

| 7:167 Եւ յարքունի տանէն եւ ի տանէն Արծրունեաց եւ յիւրաքանչիւր յայլոց նախարարաց տանէն, թող զայս երկերիւր ութսուն եւ եւթնս, եւ այլ եւս եւթն հարեւր եւ քառասուն այր, որք զանուանս իւրաքանչիւր ի դպրութիւն կենաց գրեցին ի նմին աւուր ի մեծ պատերազմին:

7:168 Altogether they were:
| 7:168 Եւ միահամուռ լինի ամենայն հազար եւ երեսուն եւ վեց:

7:169 But on the side of the apostates and heathen there fell on that day [3544] men:
| 7:169 Իսկ ի կողմանէ ուրացելոցն անկանէր յայնմ աւուր երեք հազար հինգ հարիւր քառասուն եւ չորք այր:

7:170 Nine of them were of the most eminent nobility, for which reason Mushkan Nisalavurt was exceedingly hurt:
